Lionel A. Baier, 89, of Bloomer, passed away Monday, December 5, 2016, at Atrium Senior Living of Bloomer.
Lionel was born July 21, 1927, in the Town of Woodmohr to Joseph and Mabel (Zenner) Baier. He attended school in Tilden and graduated from Cadott High School in in 1945.
On April 26, 1949, he married Lois Zwiefelhofer at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer. He worked for Stelter Feeds for 44 years and other various jobs. He enjoyed playing cards, hunting, and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. Lionel also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Lionel is survived by four brothers, Gordon (Dorothy), Norman (Darlene), Joe, and Thomas (Diane); a sister, Carol (Kenny) Geissler, sister-in-law, Doris Prince. Also by special friends, Dale & Betty Warren; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lois; brothers, Gerald & Jack; two sisters, Dolores Cooney and Ann Adrian; brothers-in-law, Ferdy Harings and Leonard Adrian and Duane Zwiefelhofer; sister-in-law, Bernice Baier.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2016, at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Bloomer with Father John Potaczek celebrating the Mass. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at church on Saturday. Burial will follow the funeral mass at St. Paul’s North Catholic Cemetery, Bloomer.Schriver-Thompson Funeral Home & Chippewa Valley Cremation Services in Bloomer is serving the family.

We are down in Florida for the winter months, We have been spending the winter down here since 2006 the year we had the reunion out at the farm for the Zenner's. It was great seeing most of you and hearing stories Lionel told me about helping my dad in his younger years.
