Ruth Katherine Anderson, 62, of Lake Holcombe, passed away March 30, 2019, at Marshfield Medical Center in Eau Claire, WI, with her husband at her side.

Ruth Schoenfelder was born February 2, 1957, in Chamberlain, SD, the daughter of Gilbert and Carol (Krell) Schoenfelder.  She grew up in Kimball, SD, before moving with her family to Mitchell, SD.  Ruth attended Holy Family Grade School, Mitchell High School, and later graduated from Dakota State College.

On December 23, 1980, she married Charles B. Anderson in Sioux Falls, SD.  They moved to Chicago where she began her banking career working at First Chicago and Bank One.  In 2000, she and Chuck moved to Lake Holcombe, WI, establishing Porcupine Bog Tree Farm.  Ruth was employed at Wells Fargo Bank in Ladysmith as a personal banker and officer.  She enjoyed taking care of her customers and they appreciated her kind attention.   Ruth was a lover of cats, especially her beloved Jose!

Ruth is survived by her husband, Chuck, of Lake Holcombe; her mother, Carol Schoenfelder of Mitchell, SD; siblings, Jeanne (Bob) Lorenz, Chuck (Leslie), Tom (Joyce), Dennis (Chayne Bouttilette), Dan (Doris), Karen Tollefson, Lisa (Steve) Fisher, Paul (Lisa) Schoenfelder; step-son, Scott (Kim) Anderson; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her Father, Gib Schoenfelder; and brother-in-law Herb Tollefson, Jr.

A Celebration of Ruth’s life will be held in June, 2019.

Thompson Funeral Home & Chippewa Valley Cremation Services in Bloomer is serving the family.
