Loretta L. Eyerly
November 4, 2019
On Monday, November 4th, 2019, at the age of 55, Loretta Lynn Eyerly was surrounded by family when she peacefully left us to be with Jesus.
Loretta was born on September 22, 1964 to Jimmie and Diane (Kostielney) Eyerly at Savannah Hospital in Savannah, Illinois.
Loretta attended Chippewa Falls Senior High School. Her most recent job was at Andersen Windows in Menomonie but she is best known for her many years of service at Heckel’s Family Restaurant in Hallie where she created a family with her coworkers. She had a love for horses, camping and tending to the campfire. She made the best scalloped potatoes and peanut butter cookies anyone could ask for.
She had a fighting spirit from the beginning to the end. She had no fear and told it like it was. You never had to ask how Loretta felt about something, she was sure to let you know. Her cancer diagnosis, although devastating, didn’t keep her down. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, shopping, and playing bingo. She started going to Cornerstone Apostolic Church and enjoyed the fellowship of her new church family. She gave her life to the Lord and was baptized in Jesus’ Name on April 7th, 2019.
Loretta was deeply loved by her family and friends but she had a special bond with her sister JoAnn. JoAnn was born on Loretta’s first birthday. They operated like ying and yang growing up. Although life had it’s twists and turns, they were always there for each other when it mattered, and always knew each other best.
Loretta is survived by her mother, Diane Eyerly; her daughter, Jessie Barnard; twin sons, Jason (Kelcy Johnson) Barnard, and Justin Barnard; grandchildren, Gavin, RaiLynn, Audriana, Paityn, Colleen, Kadyn, Serena, Tateonna, Penelope, and Theodore; siblings, Walt (Jean) Henning, Pam Henning, Mike (Michelle) Eyerly, JoAnn (Jake) Jacobson, Kim (Jim) Mooney, Jamie (Paula) Eyerly, and her “adopted sister” Mary Johnson; Goddaughter/niece, Ashley Foreman; best friend, Bridgett Vetterkind; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Loretta is preceded in death by her father, Jimmie Eyerly; and her nephew, Joseph Henning.
Services will be on Sunday, November 17th, at Cornerstone Apostolic Church in Elk Mound, WI with visitation from 2-4pm, service beginning at 4pm.
